Less known facts about India

As I was surfing on the web, I stumbled upon this video on youtube, titled "SHOCKING FACTS ABOUT INDIA !" ..Here's what I saw:
True there are so many such facts that are not known to us.
Another video I saw during this course of time showed the growing progress of India. I am sharing this video here to counter those people who say "All this is a matter of the past" after seeing the above video. Brothers, sisters, and well wishers of India - we need to spread such messages in order to take away the misconceptions in people's minds about India. India has always been, and continues to be an innovator, an inventor, a leader.

Common Language

We Indians proudly speak about our Unity in Diversity. But how many of us bother to maintain this? All of us want to, but we miss something somewhere, unknowingly. Unity in diversity means not only standing together as one country, but also being able to communicate effectively in a group of diverse people, and make everyone feel comfortable with the communication. This does not require us to attend special courses for the improvement of communication skills. Neither does it require us to understand intense theories. It is just one simple rule - Common language, common topic. That is all it takes to achieve a comfortable conversation.
It happens in daily life, that when there is a group of people speaking one language, excluding one member, the one member feels left alone because he is most likely not going to understand/feel comfortable with the conversation because the majority of the group is likely to talk in the language they know. Instead, why not talk the same topic in a common language (Which in most cases would be English)?
Let's take the example of the video above. It is a commercial advertising Cadbury Celebrations. It has a great message in it. It deals with the same simple rule - Common language, common topic. It is very simple, and when implemented, it can make Steve feel comfortable. That's the rule we must follow in daily life. We live in a country where we can very easily come across a person from another state in ours, and it is our responsibility that the person doesn't feel out of place.
Why not make a promise this Diwali? Let's ensure that we use a common language and talk common topics that can be understood by everyone in the room.
